Product Information

Rachel Rooney trained and worked for many years as a teacher of children with special needs, whilst bringing up her sons. In 2011 her collection, The Language of Cat was long-listed for the Carnegie Medal and in 2012 it won the CLiPPA (CLPE) award. She is the author of Affirm Press picture book The Problem with Problems. She lives in Brighton, East Sussex.


Zehra Hicks is a writer and illustrator who also teaches illustration and runs workshops in schools. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, reading (usually children's books) or eating chocolate (it helps the creative process).
